The Australian International School offers the New South Wales (NSW) Australian Curriculum from year 1 to year 7. The NSW curriculum provides a balanced combination of direct teaching and inquiry-based learning, supported by a strong co-curricular program.
Assessment and Evaluation
AIS is the only school in Laos offering the National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) run by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) in year 3 and year 5 the NAPLAN assess student knowledge and skills in numeracy, reading, writing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
The results of the test provide information for parents about student achievement but also provides parents with the guarantee that AIS follows Australian standards.
